I'm looking forward to it - Season 1 got damn good once they focused on an overall arc and not just freak of the week episodes. Hopefully this gets a fair shake from the CW and hopefully the quality stays up (early reviews suggest it's back to freak of the week, but I hope that shit is just for the premiere and the main story resumes swiftly)...

Just ordered Season 1 from Amazon...so I'll catch-up with the new episodes in a week or two. The show got shuffled around so much last year it was not possible to record it.

For some reason it wasn't in HD on my broadcast(i know its been awhile but i believe all of season 1 was broadcasted in HD.

Okay episode... it was a demon-of-the-week but a good way to relaunch into things. Looks like Soc's ex has been toasted for this new Asian "step sister" character. Not sure how much I'm going to like the 3 guys living with her in Soc's mom's house. She can't be on her honeymoon forever.

Here's hoping that they can launch a new seasonal arc that binds the show as well as the stuff in the 2nd half of S1. Every week having "freak of the week" is just weak. This show has proven it can do much better than that.

I'm wondering when Sam will find out his dad is not really dead.

To be honest, I didn't feel a connection with the episode last night. Something felt a little off. I'm hoping that following episodes improve. Also, the cattle prod water thing I had picked up on from the beginning.

Wasn't the big twist at the end of last season when Sam's mom digs his dad out of the grave? And now there's no mention of it and no sign of his parents. That was weird. Other than that, it was nice to see the show back.

I am assuming that he left town right after he thought his dad was dead and buried after his rescue. I am also assuming that his parents aren't back at the house because you would think he would at least visit his mother. Perhaps they couldn't afford the parents with the new budget though, and they may have to hold off on dealing with that.
