I'm going to get a 52" Samsung LCD TV with 120 Hz and I just wondered....which is the best model # (650, 750, 850, etc.) and where I can get the best price and at which store (Best Buy, Fry's. etc). Any suggestions?

Get the LN52A650 and you're good to go. The 750 is basically the same model with some extras most people won't use (media streaming, subwoofer, etc.)

Don't rule out plasmas. Samsung and Panasonic both have VERY good plasmas for the same price, if not cheaper, than the LCD counterparts. The picture you'll get from a plasma is ten-folds better than an LCD, and you don't have any of the viewing angle issues like you do with an LCD. And the refresh rate isn't really an issue with plasma.

Woofer makes a big difference if you use just the TV speakers. And I like my wireless info link.
The new 2009 models come out on April 1st so you might want to wait. They'll probably be more expensive though...

Also, if you have DirectTV, don't buy the expensive HDMI cable; when they came to install the HD satellit dish, they brought all the cables needed. I will now return the $80 HDMI connection I bought. (about 20' x 20').
You should never have to spend that much on an HDMI cable, PERIOD! I usualy get mine for $8-10 a piece:

While I agree that plasmas have excellent contrast and very smooth motion, they also are big heat generators (you can feel the heat from the panel if you're close to the TV).
I recently saw Samsung's new LED-backlit LCD panel (I saw the 55" UN55B7000) and it's the first time I've seen an LCD panel with plasma-like color clarity and contrast. I saw the Blu-ray version of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and the picture quality of the UN55B7000 made me want to do this: :jawdrop:

Which 650 did you get? The A650 (the 2008 model) or the B650 (the 2009 model)?

This is the TV I'm leaning towards buying. Any idea where the best deal would be? Amazon lists is at $1900.00 with free shipping/no tax.

A friend of mine has the A650 model and the Blu Rays on it is stunning. The regular digital cable is pretty good too. Only draw back is the sound is piss poor but if you use a HT set up then that is a moot point. The cheapest I've seen is on Amazon for around $1600...not a bad option considering you don't have to pay for tax and your dealing with Amazon and not a third party seller. They have them at Best Buy but they are still $2400 even though my friend bought his there (on sale with a warrantee for about the same price). The new batch of Samsungs are out now with a Touch of Grey and the LED series which are about the width of a quarter so hopefully the price will start dropping on the older series of tv's. I like the tv A650 series so much that I want to buy one but I have no space to put my old set.
