Re: R.I.P. Wendy Richard

This is very sad news. I watch EastEnders every Friday on PBS (I know they are behind by like 6 years) and Pauline is one of my favorite characters. I always love the showdowns between her and Peggy. Are You Being Served? and the underrated Are You Being Served? Again! are two of the funniest British sitcoms and I watched them a lot when I was young.

RIP Wendy Richard

Love watching Are You Being Served? and EastEnders.

What a great talent that will be missed.

Anyone know when she last filmed on EastEnders? The USA is years behind and in the current storyline she has not been around for awhile. I wonder if this was the time she became sick?

I believe her last episode of EastEnders was in December 2006.

Re: R.I.P. Wendy Richard

I loved her in both Are You Being Served and EastEnders. When I moved from MN to MO, that ended the days I could watch EastEnders as the PBS affiliate here sucks hard.

And don't forget her contribution to "Come Outisde!"

Sad news. Are You Being Served was the first britcoms I started watching in the early
90's. It's still funny even today. I rarely watched EastEnders but my mom has been watching this show recently.

There's not too many regulars left from this show now. Only Mollie Sugden, Treavor Bannister, Frank Thorton, Nicholas Smith, and Mike Berry are still here.

I only knew her as Miss Brahms. AYBS was a riot.
