The Lives of Others is $16.99 which also appears to be a sale price.

Thanks for the post. $15.99 isn't enough to sway me, but I might bite on some 11.99 titles...

Some of these also come with a free movie ticket (up to $10) for The International. I picked up Layer Cake, A Few Good Men and Run Lola Run, either of which is eligible for the free ticket. You'll be told at checkout if you qualify, and it should be mentioned on the product page as well.

At some of these prices, I just haven't been able to resist upgrading. I'm getting better versions of movies for under $5.

Final Fantasy would probably look damn good, but I recently got rid of my DVD because I never watched it, so I would probably look at the Blu-ray once and then it would sit on the shelf forever.

Sorry this is OT, but do you Blu-Ray folks know if the Blade Runner 5 disc Blu Ray is OOP? It appears to be so on the amazon.com website. Why would it be OOP so soon? I don't have a Blu player now, but I wonder if I should not buy this before they become prohibitively expensive as OOP items. Currently the least expensive used set is $22.

Damn, didn't I just buy 6th Day? There goes $3 I'll never see again.

If anyone has any titles they'd like to buy on sale, just let me know. I'll buy it today and tomorrow it will go on sale.

Layer Cake is worth every penny of $11.99. You have to watch it more than once to appreciate it.

One of those movies I had to put effort into understanding as it became more and more labyrinthe near the end, but was worth it.

But is it worth it if you own the SD already? I'm thinking not... If I upgraded every great movie I already owned, I'd spend a fortune... If there was exclusive HD content, or if the extras were in HD, I would probably bite, but they aren't...

Jessica Alba's ass and nip slip in hi-def. That wasn't a guilty pleasure, that was a must own in my book.

How did I not know about this?!?!?! I have a few pics of her on the beach (not from the movie) that are just amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing... She is something else. But I had to avoid looking at her pregnant pics. That just ruined it for me...
BTW, Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez should be shot for not letting Jessica get naked in Sin City. She was supposed to, but they later decided she was sexy enough in the cowboy chaps... She said in an interview she had agreed to do it. DARN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Amazon.com Blu-Ray sale $11.99, $12.99, $15.99

Ordered Run Lola Run last night. I got this in my email notifying me that it had shipped:

"This purchase qualifies you for a certificate valid for one admission (up to $10) to see the movie The International between February 13, 2009 andMarch 31, 2009 at participating theaters. When you item ships, we will send you an e-mail with instruction to redeem."

?

Waiting on another e-mail I guess.

Also, if anyone's been waiting to redeem the $1 magazine subscription offer (which was e-mailed to folks buying certain DVDs):

You can combine the Rolling Stone sub with any of these discs to get Free Super Saver Shipping, because the regular cost of the sub is used towards the $25 minimum.

I'm not a Will Ferrell fan but I got to admit that the guy was perfectly cast for this brilliant film.

Re: Amazon.com Blu-Ray sale $11.99, $12.99, $15.99

I almost pulled the trigger so I could get some International movie tickets and basically get the Blu-rays for free, but on a whim I checked to see which theatre this was showing at, and I can't believe but this is barely showing anywhere in my town. You may want to check first if this one of your motivating factors..........

Shoot, I missed that it ended March 2. I had Layer Cake and Black Hawk Down in my cart and was trying to find something cheap to make up the last $1.02 for free shipping. Oh well.
