Heading to Vegas this Friday-Monday...where do you guys usually play craps? Staying at Excalibur. Casino Royale is always $5/100x odds, right? What other places usually have $5 craps and/or better than 3/4/5x odds?

Also, we're going to rent a car and go to Red Rock Saturday. Any good stops between the Excalibur and there? Either casinos or just things to see.

This will only be my second trip to Vegas, first time was December 2007, had a blast and stayed at the Mirage. This time I won't be so concerned about seeing every casino, my feet will surely thank me. :o

I'm actually going for my mom's 50th B-day, which is Saturday...wish they would've gone early this week or next week instead, now I imagine the crowds will be pretty bad because of the NASCAR race? Not to mention the higher prices this weekend. :(

Thanks Deftones.

Any decent (but not fancy) places around the Excalibur (or anywhere on the Strip, I guess) that have Restaurant.com certificates? I bought a bunch a while back when they were pennies on the dollar.

We've been looking up restaurant.com gift cert places for our trip in a few weeks and unfortunately, almost all of the available restaurants are off-strip, meaning you'll have to take a cab (or rental car) to get to them. If you have this availability at your disposal, there's an 80% off coupon to be used before 2/28/09 -- code is "DINE"

To answer the craps question --

Two general rules of thumb:

1) If you're going to be on the strip, you can expect to see 3x/4x/5x everywhere.
2) The casinos with more nicer shit on the walls will have higher table minimums.

If you want better odds, you'll have to go either downtown or make your way to a Station Casino.

Thanks...yeah, I got in on one of those Restaurant.com deals last summer, got a bunch of certs for 80% off, but they're just "blank" for now. I figure I'm only out a few bucks if I don't find any good places to use them.

But, we will have a car Saturday, might hit up the Green Valley Ranch area or Silverton, not sure if there are any good places available around there.

And thanks for the link to the craps table info.

green valley ranch is cool...theater downstairs. omlette house if you're hungry...buffet is mediocre. nice pool area.
