Great prices. Highly recommend the first season of Carnivale as a blind buy, even to those who typically don't gravitate to television series.

Nice.

Thanks op. I've been holding off on buying these for far too long.

Without spoiling, does this end on any type of closure, or will the 2nd season leave you wanting more?

Unfortunately, don't expect any closure. You will be a little frustrated by the ending of season two. (Don't let that discourage you from getting them though. It is a fantastic show!) :)

Easily worth watching even without the completed story. The best television show ever made.

It's well worth watching. The second season actually wraps up the main conflict/storyline for the first two seasons while leaving quite a few threads unresolved. I would compare it to Deadwood in that main conflicts are resolved (no real cliffhanger endings), but the characters are left in limbo. If you like the show, you'll be wanting more, but I doubt you'll regret having watched it. You may be a little sad to realize that the show was intended to run for six seasons.

IMHO, other recent shows that have ended abruptly but were still worth watching were Jericho & Surface. Like those, Carnivale concludes in a rather open-ended way.

At least they didn't end on a Soprano-type note...and that was planned.

Amazon now has it for....wait, nevermind.

(no real cliffhanger endings),

Oh, I disagree. :)

The very last scene of the last episode of Season 2 will drive you mad with it's unfulfilled awesomeness.

Still worth picking up at that price though. I truly haven't ever seen anything like Carnivale before or since I watched it.

Great show -- and worth picking up both seasons. Season 2 provides great closure from season 1 -- though dishes up several other items. It's a great ride...

Saddest thing about this show is that I really felt like it was picking up steam and momentum in the latter parts of Season 2 and then that was all. Definitely a little frustrating, but worth watching.
