Re: OSCARS 81st Annual Academy Awards
I know how out of touch I am with movies when I don't recognize any of the people E! is interviewing/showing.
The ones I do know I recognize from supporting roles on TV shows in the last decade or so (like Amy Adams and Melissa Leo).
Not much cleavage so far. Heidi Klum is wearing far too much fabric.

God this is already awful. Do they really not get that overlong musical numbers are one of the worst things about this show?

I kind of liked the musical number even though I was dreading it.
But WHAT is up with fiver former winners coming out to talk about each nominated actor. This will take forever. It was also very awkward.

It was a bit awkward, but I liked it. I think it was the nostalgia factor, which is the biggest thing Oscar has going for it. I think it would be an interesting touch, but only in say two categories... otherwise it will take forever as you say.

Is it wrong to have a man-crush on Hugh Jackman? The guy can do it all...
If they were looking for ways to move the show along, that was not one of them. It took almost ten minutes to announce 5 names for Supporting Actress. This is going to be a long night...

Re: OSCARS 81st Annual Academy Awards
Yeah, I would rather them go back to the clips of actors as opposed to talking about them. That best supporting actress thing was totally pointless and boring.
I didn't think they could make the show any more boring, but they found a way. I'm almost about to give up on this.
And can I be the first to suggest Tina Fey as the next Academy Awards host?
