Been following this site on another forum, have ordered from it once so far with no problem. Kinda surprised it hasn't been on this forum yet?
Prices literally can change daily...I always do advanced search as the link I've posted. Current deals include 2001 for 13.99, Enter The Dragon for 11.99, Road Warrior for 11.99...free shipping $25 and over. LOTS of titles 14.99 and less. It seems that if you add a title to your 'bag' at the low price and it goes up the next day, you can still buy for the low price...
Anyways, thought it was worth the post.

I'll have to let my bluray loving friends know about some of these prices. Those are some cheap BRs.

I noticed that if you order over $100, they will call you to verify order...I'd read that the smaller the order the better ($25+) for shipping in a decent timeframe.

how expensive is the shipping? Or are there any codes?

I'm almost positive it's free for $25 and over orders...it was when I first ordered a month ago.

I don't mean this as a threadcrap, but just as one consumer's perspective...

Many people have ordered from this site with no problems, but a notably large percentage have also reported horrific experiences with them to the point that I refuse to patronize their site.

I'm willing to pay a few dollars more per movie for solid customer service, which is why most of my purchases are from Amazon or Costco, which have always provided exceptional service.

since we aren't thread-crapping, I will throw out that I have used this site many many times with absolutely no issues.

Here's a tip: when you see a good price, sign in and add it to your cart. The item will stay in your cart at that price until you check out. I had a cart of CDs sitting for 3 months and the items in the cart stayed the same price in the cart while fluctuating wildly on the site.

Free shipping for orders $25 & up, slightly lower prices than Amazon, and the specials that the OP mentioned are all pluses.
The minuses (for me) - I've ordered only music from them so far. In the past few months I ordered three CD titles and a vinyl picture disc LP. Only one CD had factory seal, the others all didn't. They were all in good shape, but when I pay "new" prices and get unsealed items, how do I know they aren't used?
PS - my understanding is that this not the same company that was the Tower Records stores, but rather another company that simply bought their name & logo.

I haven't had any issues with the 5 or 6 times I've ordered this past yr. However I received The Kingdom with the bilingual Canadian cover, so this'll be my first experience with returns. They didn't tell me if this was a mistake or if they do send out non-US versions with any regularity. I might order in the future but I'm leaning back towards Amazon for now.

May I ask why you'd send back the blu-ray if the disc content is fine? Or, is there a difference?
I ordered once...and all the blu-rays were US versions and sealed.

im unsure how chiming in with a bad experience from a specific retailer is threadcrapping when its done respectfully.

that said, tower.com was purchased from tower records about the time they went under. the purchaser was -caiman- from amazon notoriety. from my limited experience, they have had many, many complaints in the past, but lots of happy customers as of late.

I know Tower used to be shoddy, but after some sales they had over the recent summer, things have seemed to really turn around. They offer great quality service.
