It is a good song but i'm so sick of hearing it. It's not even the best song on the album. Young Lust and Goodbye Blue Sky are the best. Never understood the love for Run Like Hell or Another Brick in the Wall either.

It's a good song, but it is a great example of why I can't stand most of Pink Floyd's music - it is do damned mellow and boring!

This thread, and all the opinions given within so far, really makes me wonder...what does a song have to excel in to be considered one of the greatest of all time? Is it a combination of things, or will one outstanding quality overshine others that fall short, and still make it great? Does the song have to have been a huge hit on the charts, or can an artist's more obscure album track find its place in the annals of greatness?

Given all that, I want to know not only what you consider to be a "greatest song of all time", but also why?
