Is anyone familiar with this set,
I recently purchased it, and it is great except for slight discolouration in the corners. Blue on the left, Red on the right.
I have setup the TV using Video Essentials, and had a tech adjust the convergance.

I have to adjust the convergence every once in while on my TN50X81. How long ago was it that the tech adjusted it for you? Over a month?

It was about a month ago, it improved it, but never really fixed it. It's not bad, but is noticable on bright scenes, Ice, Sand, etc...

I guess it depends on what you mean by discoloration... If you are seeing red or blue (and sometimes green) shadows, it is a convergence adjustment. If the actual images are not the right color, it may need a service tech's attention (assuming you have run the gamut of picute/color options in the on-screen menu).

If the set is within the warranty, they should be able to send a tech to your home to take a look. (Check the manual... maybe not in Canada?) I suspect you would have to call their tech support line so they can walk you thru the obvious before they sent someone.

Let me know how you make out... I have two Toshiba RPTV's, a TN50X81 and a TW65X81. I'm interested in how their in-home warranty service is in case something happens in the future.
