Re: Woodstock 2009

Yeah I call the same. A good amount of these bands are doing the European thing during that stretch of time

Coldplay is playing in Denmark that Sunday, Linkin Park will be in Europe for starters.

Re: Woodstock 2009

Saturday
Stage 1
AC/DC
Judas Priest
Alice Cooper
The Scorpions
Metallica
Guns n Roses
Van Halen
Def Leppard
That just sounds like an updated version of Heavy Metal Day from the US Festival in '83! (Van Halen, The Scorpions, and Judas Priest were all there.)

A show I still regret not being able to see (my best friend at the time went, but I couldn't go).

Wait! I've got a line-up, and it's CONFIRMED!!!

Friday:
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Metallica
Heaven and Hell
DIO (pulling double duty)
Saxon
Armored Saint

Saturday:
KISS
AC/DC
Van Halen
Aerosmith
Queen + Paul Rodgers
Deep Purple
Dokken
Ratt

Now THAT'S a line-up! And it's CONFIRMED!!!! (The voices in my head told me it was TRUE!)

Re: Woodstock 2009

There's absolutely no way that is even half right. This list was made by a metal-head with a hard on.

You should really change the title of this thread to "Woodstock 2009: What some random guy wants the line-up to be"

Re: Woodstock 2009

what and they don't predict a riot and more looting...

come on... that lineup in of itself can cause destruction.

couldn't care less for the lineup... I'd save my money and go to Roskilde or Reading instead.

I love the inclusion of Carrie Underwood in the mix with all this hard rock and metal.

This lineup is one that would definitely cause people to trek across the nation for like the original Woodstock.

Re: Woodstock 2009

I don't think that after what happened with Woodstock 99 that they would ever do another one again. I was thinking about a month ago after watching something on VH1 that if they were going to do something I could see them doing a one day off deal with The Who, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Santana, Grace Slick, and maybe some others, but I don't even see that happening at all.

Re: Woodstock 2009

Please, no other festival in the history of the world had such a line-up.....
I knew it was fake the moment I saw GNR on it, next to Metallica of all people! Yeah right, like those two would ever play a show together again....

Re: Woodstock 2009

I don't know where you get your info but that line up is completly different from what the the promoters are shooting for. There is a couple of bands I could see playing the festival Tom Petty, The who and acouple others. Michael Lang and the other promoters are trying to bring back the spirit of Woodstock. Bands like Kid Rock would only bring that same negative comercial element that we saw at 94 and 99... before you go putting up a line up maybe you should try and get your facts straight
