What do you do if your receiver gets hot?

I've been running my Sherwood RVD6095R while watching dvds and such. What I noticed is that it gets really hot. Do I need a fan or something? It's in my entertainment center and has about 7 inches of space above it.

If the receiver has plenty of ventilation, then it was designed to run that hot. If it gets hot after an hour or so it should be o.k. Most receivers have thermal protection to shut them down if they get too hot, though some run really hot.
If it has a switched outlet on it, you could always plug a small fan into it to help cool it off. I've done it before with great results.
