It seems that Fry's is stuck with a bunch of leftover Xbox 360 HD-DVD drives and HD-DVD software (http://shop4.frys.com/product/5842613). They are bundling them for sale today. $40-$60 for the drive + software is a decent deal for those of us who already have HD-DVD collections.
I bought the Xbox 360 HD-DVD add-on for $39 in order to, ah, protect my collection for the day when my Toshiba A2 eventually dies.

The website has 2/12/09 as the expiration date for the bundle deal. I bought a drive alone for $39 last fall, so I realize that the price for the drive itself has not changed. The movies are a nice sweetener. If I had not already purchased the drive, I would probably be tempted by the bundle with King Kong, BSG S1, and Heroes S1 for $50.
