Am I the only one who notices Sony's deceptive advertising in regards to their Wega TV's. Just look at any picture of the Wega TV's and you will invariably see the 45 degree angle shot that gives the appearance of being a 16x9 tube. I actually think they stretch the screen more to give it an even more 16x9 look. I assume they figure people will think for the money these sets costs it probably is 16x9 even though they are not.
And before the "you must be a anti-Sony" post start let me say that I like a lot of Sony's products in fact I have a Sony receiver.

Well, if I was blind and didn't notice that Sony advertises the TVs as 4:3, yeah, I guess it'd be deceptive. Going to a store where they sell Wegas would be a dead giveaway too.

Well considering 35-40% of the Wega TV's are sold over the Internet/Mail order it is easy to see how they can fool people. Also Sony does not advertise the 4x3 nature of the TV's. It speaks to all it's other features. In fact I don't know of any manufacturer who advertises their TV's as being 4x3's, why would they it's not an advantage to be 4x3.
