Glengarry Glen Ross Review!
Glengarry Glen Ross (1992):
This is a film that challenges your beliefs in the working class system - The Do or Die spirit that this country has based itself on for many years. Al Pacino. Kevin Spacey. Ed Harris. Alan Arkin. Alec Baldwin. Jonathan Pryce. What a great cast. And Jack Lemmon proves why he truly is one of the Great Ones.
Alec Baldwin has probably the best 4 minutes in his acting repertoire. To me, Baldwin is a great character actor who needs to get himself some really challenging roles, and not try to be a movie star so much. But lines like "See this watch? This watch cost more than your car!" and "Coffee's for closers only." are given with malice and loathing.
Al Pacino is terrific as usual, and Ed Harris takes griping to a new level. But Jack Lemmon's performance, as a man really on the end of his rope, is breathtaking. This man should have gotten an Oscar for this, no doubt about it.
Finally, props have to be given to Kevin Spacey, who, like a spider, studies the web that is his office, looks for the first one to be trapped in it, and sucks them dry. A cold and calculating performance.
Check this one out. You won't get actors like this together again for a long time. What a wonderful movie.

Re: Glengarry Glen Ross Review!
This part cracks me up.... If this was a review when it first came out, I could understand it but since it's a new review this really comes off silly & totally wrong. lol Alec Baldwin hasn't had a starring role in a bigger film since The Cooler (2003) and that film really wasn't that big even tho it's great. He's been more of a supporting character & now TV actor for awhile now. Stuff like Along Came Polly,Aviator,Departed,Good Shepherd, & Fun with Dick and Jane. He's had a few starring roles in some independents in recent years like Brooklyn Rules, The Last Shot, Shortcut to Happiness, & a few others. Mainly tho he's busy with the TV show 30 Rock....

It's like his posts are mean to be IMDB reviews or something.

Wage-workers/Commission-earners, Working-class/Petite-bourgeoisie, Schlemiel/Schlimazel -- they're really all just brothers in the struggle against the Man with his boot on their necks, even if they don't know it. Viva La Revolution!

I get the idea that you've never heard the word 'impossible'.

I think they've under-advertised this movie! I saw this thread, and it sounds great, but I haven't seen any ads on TV or any trailers at any of the movies I've seen recently! What gives?

I was hoping the OP would provide a review of Citizen Kane. I'd like to know whether it's any good before I rent it.
