Dude, you could have just PMed me, I think were the only ones that watch it
I didnt see last weeks cause I was waiting to get the finale, than Ill watch both as a sort of movie. Is this officially the series finale (any press releases) or is it just a safe assumption for a it having been moved to Saturday?

I like to think that there are lurkers that watch this show and just don't respond to these threads.
From everything I've read, it seems that NBC declined to purchase anymore episodes.
Sad, I know.

Only saw the pilot. It had good production values, but I just couldn't devote the time for it. I have a feeling that a period drama just doesn't interest most of the people here.

I've been watching each episode. It's worth watching for the HD alone.
I could have done with a few less visitors.

RIP Crusoe.
We'll miss the show...it was good, dumb escapist fun. Not the best or most logical stories, but looked great & had earnest performances. At least it was something different, even if it did have somewhat of a syndicated feel to it much of the time.
I originally thought that it would have been clever to name the show "Defoe" rather than Crusoe and then concentrate on the fictitious adventures of the author (whom, if I remember correctly, was actually shipwrecked himself in a chain of events that inspired his novel). Too clever by half, I thought it would have freed the producers up to go wild without being accused of cannibalizing (NPI) the original story. Of course, that now seems like an incredibly stupid idea given that the show couldn't even attract viewers with the more familiar name recognition of the title.
As others have noted, scheduling it in the black hole of Friday tv...and then moving it to Saturday...probably doomed the show from the start.
<EDIT: As usual, I was wrong. It wasn't Defoe who was shipwrecked, but a man named Alexander Selkirk (whose exploits may have inspired Defoe). Memory failed me again.>

One thing I noticed about this show is more people came to this island than I've had visit my house in 10 years.

I really tried my best to like this show. I watched every episode until the move, and a couple after, but I had to give up on it.

I liked it, but each week was the same: who will visit the island and then leave without Crusoe? Kind of like Gilligan's Island.

It was pretty repetitious until the last few episodes where they had the arc about Sam Neil's character trying to off Crusoe to keep his inheritance. I wish they would have ended it with him getting back his inheritance and screwing Neill's character, but C'est la vie.
Not a great show, but was well worth watching and had great scenery.
