There are still a few movies I want that are never coming out on DVD. (Original version of Star Wars Trilogy among others) I was thinking about getting them on laserdisc, but need to buy a player. Can anyone recommend a place to get a good deal on one?

I dont know how you feel about buying used equipment, but the local classifides are allways full of people selling off their laser disc players at extremely low prices. Often see 1-2g players selling for 100-200 dollars. Might be worth looking into as many of these same people have large collections of discs they are selling off for cheap as well.

That looks like the best bet. I found a few players in the paper that have dolby digital ouputs and change sides on their own (two things I wanted) for around $100. I will just test them before I buy.
