So none of the hospital staff seemed to question why a 6-year-old girl was driving a wounded officer to the hospital?

Was she? I didn't recognize her.
Yup! Michael Cudlitz

If KITT really cared he would have had Maddie shove the wounded officer into his glove box for medical assistance.
I do not know for sure. She was standing there like a "DoND" model waiting to do something -- in this instance it was to answer a phone instead of opening a briefcase.

I must say though, aside from no Sarah in a bikini or underwear, this was definitely one of the best episodes by far. No stupid KITT transformations and no magic glovebox.
The twist with the chick in the vault being in on the heist even caught me off-guard. The only thing that bugged me was the blatent rip-off from The Dark Knight of taping the guns to the hostages hands and making them look like the bad guys.

(played Sargent Denver "Bull" Randleman) or FOX's Beverly Hills 90210 (played
Tony Miller - a friend of Brandon, Steve etc - when they were in high school.)
Looks like he is going to play one of the main characters in NBC's new cop drama
Southland that premieres in the spring.

I kinda wondered why they did not clobber the bad guy upside the head with the safe deposit box when he was not looking -- after the twist I understand why the chick did not do it but Michael? C'mon slacker.

Michael Cudlitz is his name. You may remember him from HBO's Band Of Brothers

I'm looking for the name of the actress who played the fake hostage/ girlfriend of the leader of the robbers. She is very familiar looking but I can't quite place where I've seen her before.
Thanks in advance, DWH

This was definitely the best episode this season.
Lots of action and one crazy ass shootout at the beginning.
Finally, Smith Cho (Zoe) is now a series regular and her name is in the opening credits.
Why couldn't Gary Scott Thompson have realized that less is more and this is how Knight Rider should have been to start the season?
My only problems:
How the hell did KITT know to call that particular outside phone to reach Maddie? Unless the operator transferred him?
The ending was way too abrupt.
I believe the hispanic girl who was the girlfriend of the main robber appeared on One Tree Hill during season 2. I can't think of her name.

Her name is Daniella Alonso, perhaps you've seen her on One Tree Hill or Friday Night Lights?

I'm also enjoying the new direction of the show. Too bad it's too late now for the show it seems.

And yes, I agree with your comment. The show has gotten much better, but it's too little too late.

Ugh. This served to piss me off. This was given another chance when Bionic Woman, Journeyman, and a host of others got the axe. Bionic Woman wasn't great, but this is crap. I wanted so badly to like this.

2nd place finish
"American Idol" snagged a 15.0/23 for FOX at 8 p.m., up from Tuesday's show. "Knight Rider," 3.8/6, finished a distant second for NBC. A rerun of "Lost" drew a 3.7/6 for FOX. CBS came in fourth with the prime-time "CBS Evening News," 4.2/6, and an "Old Christine" rerun, 3.3/5. The CW aired a "Privileged" repeat.
