I'm in the process of working out the components for the home theater I will be building in my new home.
I know that I want a subwoofer in use for each of my front and rear channels, and I need to be steered in the right direction for an amp that will allow for this type of hookup. Before anyone screams 'overkill', bear in mind that many of today's soundtracks feature below 25Hz bass in all channels, not just the LFE channel.
I am leaning toward Acoustic Reaearch's AR1's for my front and rear speakers, which feature a 15" sub, with a 5oo watt amp (18Hz..yes!!!)
So, any suggestions on a pre-amp/amp combination?

The amp I have in mind for myself is the Anthem MCA3. 200watts x 3 for the LCR for about $1500Cdn from a its more famous parent company (Sonic Frontiers) is a good bet. I have yet to hear it myself, but a dealer I trust swears by it. He said although Bryston and Classe amps of similar power were a bit better, the Anthem was half the price.
