Using the Tosh 2109 through a Radio Shack RF modulator, and have encountered problems three times, just trying to verify if others have had similar experiences.

1: Enemy of the State (rented it) locked up right around the 65 minute mark (rented it several months ago, so I don't remember the exact time) -- layer change problem?

2: Random cutoffs with Lulu Under the Bridge (also a rental) -- the video would cut out, but the audio would continue to play. This problem just happened again with the menu for Dr. Strangelove. (Those familiar with the RF modulator will know that the TV picture would come back in this instance; I have the audio connected to my receiver.)

3: Have had a good experience with the Matrix for the first three playings; however, the most recent time, it hung up in the scene with the woman in the red dress (right as onscreen action paused). Took out the disc, wiped it off, FFed to that scene, let play, hung again (took about 90 sec to play 4 sec of film) Repeated procedure, and it hung about thirty seconds later in the movie from the previous two times. Last time, it worked okay. Is this where previously documented Matrix problems have occurred, or is this a fluke?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I've heard of problems with both the Matirx and Enemy but both play fine on my 2109. I would recommend a search and see what specifics you can find.
