I hope this is good. I have a feeling that the holy/magic spear is going to perform a healing miracle on our guy from the looks of the commercial. Since they teased jumping the shark with the wives becoming secret agents (really, she gets to interrogate terrorists?) it'd be very fitting if they went all the way with magic.

The promos for this episode looked really bad/goofy. As mentioned in last week's thread, I hope they don't drag out the Bob heroin addiction thing.
I am glad to see Bridget back in the mix.

yeah, I'm hoping this isn't as they are portraying it to be. looks like a terrible episode.

Be sure to pad as football ran slightly over. 60 Minutes began at 8:08 in stead of 8:00. 10 minutes of pad will suffice.

Watching this after the 2-hour season premier of 24 was awesome. Loved this ep. all around.
Mac not giving the bullets back was cool. (Nice to see Hector "back.")
Kim rubbing Bob's shoulders while he was trying to work was hilariously annoying.
Her seeing him execute those two people was--whoa.

I was surprised that my fears were not warranted. It was a good episode... I even approve of the magic spear bit.
My only complaint is that the warrior monks who pledged to protect it were either not there or not so devoted that that'd not only NOT die for it like they said, but would rather not walk outside.
Then really, he can use a sword now too? I can somehow buy the bits bits where they learned 15 or so languages and spy-like skills but short-sword? But I'll let that last one go for the neat death-dream part.

Well, it was cool seeing Demore Barnes again even though it was a cheesy dream sequence. I guess he was there to help Mac confront his demons and guilt from Hector's death.
The magical spear stuff and the monks was a little corny, but overall that segment worked.
God I hate Rebecca Pidgeon!! Mamet needs to stop bringing back his wife to this show.
I did like Bob taking out that couple with Kim watching. That was a nice surprise.
I thought I read that Nicole Steinwedell (Bridget) was promoted to series regular this season. Seems like she is still more or less a guest star.

Kim is a stupid bitch who can not follow directions, I knew that Bob had to kill them when the phone call came, why not Kim

I'm watching Kim turn on the monitor (Ok, that's not the smartest move)
I'm watching Kim steal the key card (Ok, that's actually a bit retarded)
I'm following Kim sneak into the room and pick up the baby (Ok, now she is actually dumber then dirt)
I'm hearing her say "Lets get you some medicine..." (Well... that's not too dumb. Could I have been wrong about her?) "... and get you some fresh air" (There it is! Now I feel stupid for doubting my original faith in her having a pigeon brain.)

My ears pricked up when
But then I realized I'm just watching a silly tv show and I should STFU.

wasn't as bad as it could've been, but it certainly wasn't all that great. so, was it too hard for Bob to go a doctor somewhere and get some subutex?

The whole spear/monastery thing is so out of left field for this normally hard-nosed real-world based show that it was almost comical. I'm a big fan of this show so I really hope this was a one-episode aberration.
And I agree about Kim -- the writers have made her more stupid than dirt.

I'm watching it online now (about 20 min into it) and so far my reaction is Bob is strung out and Kim's solution is to go on the mission w/ him. Bullshit... I have to admit though the show does keep you guessing. Of all the ways to handle Bob's drug addiction, that was the last way I would have guessed.
Regarding the spear thing we'll see how it ends, but the Bob story line is annoying me
EDIT: Just finished it... the spear thing wasn't too bad, but the Bob story line still annoys me I guess both were set ups for things to come (Bob/Kim's relationship and this mysterious committee) though.
