Am I Crazy (120hz HDTV-Related)
I purchased a 42" Sharp Aquos LCD TV almost two years ago and I use it for gaming, Blu-ray viewing and occasionally watching TV. It's a great TV, but now that it's been a couple of years, I feel like I should upgrade to something different, especially since the 120hz models just came out and I read that they're quite a bit better because of their quicker framerate capabilities, mainly when it comes to gaming and sports, which are two of the main things I use my TV for. I'm considering selling my TV and paying the difference for a 52" Aquos or Samsung 120hz model, but I'm wondering if it's really worth it or if I'm just crazy. Is there really that much of a difference?

I wouldn't say that - I just have a weird OCD about having an outdated TV, where I feel like I'm missing out on something. I can't go for plasma because I play a tonne of video games.

Also, plasmas can play video games. See, they are video display devices, and video games need a video display. (unlike, say...radio or cribbage)

I have the Samsung LN46A750 and it's amazing. I personally think the blacks it produces rival what plasmas can do.

To be "fair" the Panny is 720p. However, if we are talking overall picture quality and not numbers, I'd take the Panny.

I hear you on this one. I upgraded my Sony 50" 720p RP-LCD for a Sony 52" 1080/24p 120Hz set... and it's fucking killer.
