I am looking into purchasing one of these and hope it's one of the better systems out there (there's only 3 I know of). Every place I go to doesn't have all three usually that I can look at once to compare as is. I do like the way the Pioner LC10 looks though.
Also, if I were having another person beside myself listening with earphones, is there a way to buy a connector if there is only one headphone jack in it? i haven't seen these...

Just go to radioshack or a similiar franchise that carries 90% overpriced useless junk and 10% useful odds and ends. You can get a splitter to use 2 headphones (or any other ministereo jack using device), basically one end plugs into the headphone jack, then there are two inputs on the adapter for ministereo plugs.

FWIW, the Pioneer model is getting the best reviews, although it is also the most expensive. My friend just bought one and he loves it.
