Not bad at all. $11.74 per movie....but...

...Fox didn't include the unrated--HELLO FOX--with DH4, so I'm passin' on this one. I'll be passing on this entire series until Fox gets it right.

good deal but I got the live free or die hard BD from amazon's Black Friday deal for buy 10 bd get $100 off. I paid less than $8 for it on average BD. I would have jump on it if I didn't have the collection's first 3 movie on steel case.

very nice deal. I just can't see myself watching these over and over again since its been on TV and cable as re-runs forever.

The first two are annual Christmas movies for me. I've got the nice slim 8-disk set that I upgraded to from the bulky 6-disk set. No need to upgrade these to BR just yet.

Wow!
Apparently I'm the first person to say thanks...and actually buy it. :D

And I'm the second. I've been waiting for a deal on this. Very, very happy. Thanks, OP!

Bummer Amazon no longer uses BML as that extra $10 off was nice to use while it lasted.... :-(

I figure the Die Hard movies will be seen enough times by my family to justify buying it at this great price now. One could sell this set later on for a very reasonable price, thus further justifying pulling the trigger now.

Yeah, I'm holding off on Adaptation until I get a special edition...

That's a great price. I bought this at Best Buy during their Black Friday sale for $54.99.

I've seen the uncut version on DVD, but to be honest, it didn't make the movie better. As a matter of fact, it looked like they just over-dubbed curse words over the PG-13 version. It was kind of distracting. The theatrical version does me just fine.

Yes, they over-dubbed curse-words for the Theatrical Version. It made me feel like I was watching a foreign film with a terrible dub track. One of the most sloppiest pieces of work I've seen in decades.

thanks OP, I'm in on this one. Better price than pawn shops around here.

While I'm pissed about Fox's typically stupid decision (hello, Watchmen) to put the bowdlerized version of LFODH out (and already have it), I've never had the 2nd or 3rd flicks and just the 5-Star Collection version of the first. I'll probably get it.

Not to mention the GREAT job they did with adding crappy CGI'd blood bursts from gunshots...
Having seen both, I have no qualms sticking with the theatrical PG-13 cut...it was obviously shot with that rating in mind...if it had been originally shot with more profanity and "harder violence" and then toned down through editing and dubbing for the theaters, then I might feel different...

I got Live Free or Die Hard for $6 new on BD. The first Die Hard is coming to me in the mail soon: $9 used. The second film I don't like at all. The third film I will be getting from Columbia House for approx. $13 once they do another B1G1 + Free Shipping for BD's. So for me the total cost involved in this franchise will be around $28.

I came close to ordering this set and I'm glad now that I didn't. Even with a deal like this one. But for people who love the whole series and want it new and now... this is a good deal to have.

DH1 has so many great moments that you can skim through for a half-hour and feel totally satisfied. DH2 is flawed but also has some set-pieces that are worth skipping to.

People do realize this set was cheaper during Black Friday in Fry's, right? $37.

I decided against getting it after reading the HighDefDigest.com reviews which said the transfers and source materials weren't that great. Isn't it sad that we can't get better quality from the wondrous Blu-ray format that was jammed down our collective throats. Pay up, suckers!

I'm sure at some point, someone will get this set for less than $37. From what I read, it's worth the extra 10 bucks not to stand in the long, long lines they had. Add in tax and/or postage and the difference is hardly worth debating, right?
