So, I just got this one in yesterday. Wow I was speechless. Then today I found out that the film was made in the early 90's. I'm really impressed with the image on this one. The film is interesting as well, although I think I was expecting a documentary similar to Planet Earth then what ended up being a clone of the Philip Glass experiment. All in all a great purchase though.

Yeah, 70mm films are awesome when handled well.
The director, Rob Fricke is doing another 70mm non-narrative film next year as well, Samsara.

Baraka's director and cinematographer, Ron Fricke, was also a cinematographer on Koyaanisquatsi, which might explain the structural similarities.
