I saw a horrible movie a few years ago, Smile, seemed like a Lifetime TV movie.

I always thought that Ron Howard's The Paper felt like a great pilot for a TV series.

I remember catching the pilot to Threshold when it first aired, having not heard anything about the series previously, and thinking it must have been a TV movie.

Honey
The dialogue sounded like it was right out of a UPN sitcom. Went to IMDB afterwards to see what the screenwriter had previously worked on.

Not surprised.

"No Escape," which I love but thought was just an HBO produced film before finding out it did get a theatrical run.

I use to believe Burnt Offerings was a tv-movie. Probably because of Dan Curtis and Karen Black my brain cross-referenced it with Trilogy Of Terror.

I remember reading about the show before it aired, but as I watched it I felt like it could have been a made for TV movie.

2 Fast 2 Furious

I know it was of course a theater movie first, but the acting and low budget car chases and stunts really had a made-for-TV quality to them.

This coming from someone who enjoyed the 1st and 3rd in the series.

I hope you're not talking about this:

That's a terrific movie.

"The Final Countdown" - granted, I first saw it on TV, but the cheesy effects still strike me as "TV Movie" - but I still like it!
