I know this probably sounds ridiculous, but has anyone heard anything about 2-for-1 deals on cars in Texas? A talk show was discussing this a couple weeks ago but I just caught the end of it so I didn't really get much. Then the next day, someone in my office was talking about it also. I can't seem to find any info about this anywhere so I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about this. They were saying something like if you buy a 2009, they throw in the 2008. I didn't hear any mention of the make.

Yes -- I forgot the make, think Kia or brand like it and it was if you buy a new car get a pre-owned for $1.

There's a Toyota dealer in St Louis who is advertising a deal like this.

usually, it's new cars. and you pay the full MSRP for the vehicle. they won't negotiate down on price for the vehicle. so you really aren't saving all that much money. might be a good deal if you need 2 vehicles, but not all that great of a deal.

A dealer in MICHIGAN is running a deal: Buy/Lease a 2009 SAAB 9-7X and get a USED 2006 SAAB 9-3 FREE. Could be nice, but I doubt you get the deal/rebate on the 9-7x...

Man I wish they'd have this deal for Lancer Evo's. :)

I've heard commercials for a dealer doing this multiple times the last few years in the Twin Cities. I believe it was a new Chevy truck, and you got a cheapo [but new] Chevy car (don't even know that the model name is).
