I hopped onto the HD-DVD bandwagon mostly due to Sony's lack of success with propietary formats. Broke down and bought a Sony 550 player this week. Any suggestions on which disc to break in the new player -- also breaking in a new JVC-RS10 projector -- need to wow the wife to make sure I don't sleep on the couch due to the wife-approaved purchases. Thanks in advance!

Mamma Mia! on Blew-ray.

Give it to her. You know she wants it!

Another vote for Wall-E.

The picture is incredible, and the audio (while not the busiest out there) is very well done.

Thanks for not answering the question to begin with.

Everyone else -- thanks for the suggestions -- much appreciated.

Visually, I'd go with Baraka or Planet Earth (neither is an actual movie movie though).

Since the wife is involved, I'd say WALL·E or Planet Earth.

Although not the best visual title I though Cast Away did a good job of showing what Blu can do.

Apocalypto is a terrific title to show off your system.

For gory sci-fi with a few laughs try Doomsday, one of the best looking and sounding Blu-rays I have.

To the average consumer I would imagine Cars or any of the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy are the top overall demonstration material.
