My daughter (4) has started playing some computer games at her pre-school and at home. I'm only aware of like one or two sites that have educational games for kids. Anyone able to recommend some to me?

I'm originally targeting educational games but other child-oriented fare like pages that let them color pictures etc. would be cool as well.

And yes, she already has a couple DS games that she plays on my DS so i'm covered on that front. I just want her to get more acclimated to using a mouse etc.

My boy's kindergarten referred us to Starfall http://www.starfall.com/ ...they are educational reading-oriented games, but he seemed to enjoy them for a while.
Of course most kids love Webkinz.com (one year membership requires purchase of one Webkinz creature), but from what I've seen there can be a lot of reading and it can be laid out a little complexly (I know, that's not a word).

If I was doing this for my kids, I wouldn't steer them towards games that are so heavily commercialized. That is, anything on Disney.com etc.

Fisher price has a bunch of things: coloring pages, ABCs games, music games, etc. My son gets a kick out of playing off and on.

I normally do the same thing (try to avoid the sites that just inspire more spending) like Webkins but unfortunately she has already been infected with the Disney Fairies addiction so she wants to check out there site. I was kind of shocked to see the Pixie Hollow website has a monthly fee. I assume it is like some weird child MMO?

Toontown does (or did) let you play a portion of the game for free forever, but you'd have to pay to access the rest of the world. Same with Wizard101, but I don't think either of those are suitable for a 4 year old (in accessibility, possibly in content).

hit entertainment (bob the builder, barney, pingu etc) has a bunch of games my 2 year old already plays. It blows me away that he 1) knows how to use the mouse and 2) can systematically play the memory card game using the mouse.
