DVD Talk Special Edition
The Wild Wild West - a 'classic' show with elements of everything...sci-fi, spy, western...
You could play as Jim, Artemus or one of the villains (namely Dr. Miguelito Loveless!)

Captain N was a TV show based on a multitude of video games. I'm sure the majority of characters licensed for that show were done so with the intention of promoting their existing video game properties. Turning the show into a video game would've made as much sense as someone going, "you know that Slinky Dog in Toy Story is a hit with the kids, someone should make a toy of that character."

The original He-Man and the Masters of the Universe

Captain N could have also been turned into a decent video game

There's at least 2 dozen PC and console games based on that show.
