Venturer HD DVD player and 2 movies $50 on Woot.com
Woot is having a woot-off today and right now they have this player and 2 random movies. I know it's a dead format but it may be a cheap way to get HD quality movies, especially with all the sales now. They were halfway through this offer when I saw it, though, so I don't know how long it'll be available.

Mine arrived yesterday too. Same two movies (no interest in either one), wish I could have received 300 and Bourne Identity.

I picked up the player from the last deal at Buy.com to have an extra in case my A35 dies. For $50 it was cheap insurance and certainly no more expensive than an upconverting player. I also got Firewall and Perfect Storm.

Just got mine yesterday from the selloff woot last week. Mine came with 300 and Bourne Identity. We threw in Stardust last night, and it works great! Nice deal for a second player.
