Dragon Quest X announced for the Wii!

Well, if this megaton from the DQIX press event in Japan didn't bring Pixy out of retirement, I guess nothing will...

DQX was officially announced as coming to the Wii as DQIX was officially priced and dated in Japan in the last few hours.

It will be nice to actually turn the thing on again.

Nice. I haven't played an RPG in years but I'd be in for this one.

Very nice. Now I wish they would hurry up and release DQIX already.

I'm an achievement whore and I'd rather it be on the 360. ToV looks phenomenal (as did Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon).

However, DQ8 looked just fine on the PS2 and the Wii can out-perform that.

It is about time the Wii scored another exclusive (Monster Hunter 3 needs to come out asap). I haven't said it in a while, but great job Nintendo!

It can. The question is will it? I just hope they don't put in some "waggle" just for the sake of it. I suspect they won't.

What is the release date for IX?

I'll pick up X for sure if I haven't sold my Wii by then. I haven't turned it on since I finished Metroid.

They only just announced March 28th, 2009 as the Japanese release date for something crazy like 6000 yen. No info on NA date or pricing, which is why I didn't bump that thread.

Thanks.

I needed a break from forums, it was actually pleasant.

Dragon Quest X for Wii is great news but it is shocking since the last few games have been so far apart.

I never really got into DQ, tried 8 on the PS2 but lost interest after awhile.

Yay Pixy. This forum hasn't been the same without you. Welcome back!

PS: The Animal Crossing thread is calling you.

I agree with all the others. And this would be a reason for me to finally have someone else in the house play the Wii besides my youngest kids.

Which is pretty much the opposite of most DQ fans, I would think...

Hey,what's with all the DQ threads being on the first page? Oh, Pixy's back...

Yup I know it. I'm not really a DQ fan, but I did like a lot of what DQVIII did, and it looked beautiful for the time. The story and characters held it back for me.

Anyway, there are other fish in the sea .
