Season 1 is actually great and I would recommend it as a "blind purchase" to anyone who enjoys a movies that feature superheros when they first become aware of their powers. The first season deserved all the kudos it received. But I would agree with you that the finale was a bit of a let down.

Season 2 sucked and I'd agree with you... "anti-climatic season finale... poor characterization.... watchable, barely".

FYI: My outlook for Season 3? I wouldn't know since it's was incoherent that I've removed all scheduled recordings from my DVR.

Season 1 - I agree, I thought it was the best of all 3 seasons so far. Good story line and character development, but the ending wasn't quite the spectacular showdown that I expected.

Season 2 - The first 3/4 of the episodes seemed slow and I'm not sure where the story line was heading. The last few episodes picked up, but seemed to be in a rush to try and fit everything in before the season finale. I'm sure the writer strike had something to do with its failure that even the show creator admitted to.

Season 3 - I've been watching every episode so far and it has been ok, just not as good as Season 1. The multiple story line and jumping around of the time line is making it difficult to follow. I've had to watch episodes twice just to follow what is going on.
