This offer just started at 12:00 AM Pacific Time today (Dec. 8th). I guess Amazon did not have much stock on this player and I am sure the orders for this deal were very high. The deal is suppose to last until the 14th so maybe they will re-stock this player. I am hoping to get in on it to experience the blu-ray technology.

I have a question in case the player is restocked (so I'll be ready). Does anyone know if the Harry Potter years 1-5 giftset counts as one title or five? I'm almost certain it will count as one just to add more drama to my life, but it's worth asking about.

But from reviews I'm reading online, it sounds like the BD-2500 is a much better player and worth the cost, particularly with the Netflix integration included. Did that model show up on the other sale you're referring to?

though the 2500 is only $50 off right now, not as good as where this deal started with the 1500 being $100 off. hmm... I wonder if Amazon will restock the player at full price, after waiting long enough for any discounted players to disappear from peoples' carts.

It's back, and like I expected, at a higher price. $219.95. Not terrible though. I ordered. I almost ordered with the $100 off deal last night. Now I paid $4 less, and got 4 extra BD's with it even at the higher price, plus a much better selection of movies. So I can't complain...
It is backordered until the 11th, but the bright side is, if the price drops before then, they will adjust it.
