Amazon Deal for Hollywood Movie Money to see "The Day The Earth Stood Still"

I stumbled across this at Amazon.

If you pick up one of 22 sci-fi movies listed between December 3, 2008 and December 22, 2008, you will a promo code for Hollywood Movie Money to see The Day the Earth Stood Still. The money is valid from Dec 12th to Jan 31st.

The DVDs include:
"The Day The Earth Stood Still" (special edition) Blu-ray or standard DVD,
I Robot BD or SD,
Terminator BD or SD,
Robocop BD or SD,
Predator BD or SD,
The Happening BD or SD,
Sunshine BD or SD

and several others.

Here is the link:

I haven't used this Hollywood Movie Money before, but at my local theater, I know they are sticklers about letting folks use any sort of passes the opening week.

Best,
Trev

No type of Movie Money should be considered as a pass. It's the same as paying the theater cash or a gift certificate/card. The workers at your theater are morons if they can't understand the concept.

Certificate good for one admission (up to $12.00).
Hmm. Makes it better than the movie cash offered at CC this week (7.50).

If that's for the new "SE" of Day, it's actually not a store-exclusive deal, it's on/in the DVD.

When Best Buy did this I ordered on-line and got my certificates in cardboard sleeves... but I got screwed out of one that wasn't in the sleeve. Someone else wrote that it happened to them as well. Not sure if it's the same company going with Amazon or not, but I don't trust it unless I can buy at the store and rip open the envelopes before or right after I buy to make sure now.

I bought one on Sunday and received the usual order status e-mails from Amazon, but I still have not yet received the e-mail with the promotion code in it. (I even checked my spam folder for it, just in case).

This might be a YMMV, but I ordered the original The Day the Earth Stood Still on BD. I got the movie cash email the next day and printed it out. When the disc came today, it had another peel off sticker on the outside with another code for a different type (e-cash). Printed that one out too!
