King Of Queens Season 2 & 3 Bluray Germany

I just picked up King of Queens Seasons 2 & 3 from amazon.de for 22.68 EUR each. They are 2 disc, 1080p (from what I can tell), 16:9, English/German DTS Audio, and region ABC.

I did some digging and I have confidence the releases are region free. I found the rear cover art on www.1advd.ch which shows region A B C. There is also a post on avsforum that says they are region free (has screen caps too). Koch Entertainment released the sets, and did not have HD masters for season 1.

I have the patience of a flood and I chose the international express shipping, so I should have it soon. Hope my PS3 likes it. Fingers crossed.

Lemme know if it works in the PS3 and how it looks...I'm curious as to whether they stretched the image or left it 4:3.

There is no HD master for Season 1, the show was filmed 16:9 since season 2.

I have seen an episode (a 720p x264 BDrip) and I can confirm that the picture is 16:9 anamorphic.

I will gladly post pics when they arrive.

There is no such thing as anamorphic with HD or BD.

Ya that was stupid. It's true 16:9 not 4:3, letterboxed or stretched in any way. Damn I am excited to get these!

Yeah, this show is funny but unless a cheap Blu-ray set gets released here in the states it's not worth it IMHO.

I thought they would release Baywatch or Knight Rider in Germany before this.

I received Season 2 today. Watching it right now on my PS3! PQ is pretty damn good, it is 1080p 1.78:1. The only minor annoyance is the default german audio, but doesn't bother me much at all. The case is 2 disc, like weeds season 2 & 3 or a movie, and it comes with a cardboard slip. I will post pics when I get to work tomorrow as I don't own a camera. Thanks to those that gave a shit, as nobody I know does!

Yeah, this really is an odd release, but even though I don't watch the show, I think it's great that it's getting a BD release somewhere. It gives me hope for some oddball releases that I know I will love.

When I read the title of the page all I could think was "what the random"... it really is a really really weird release. Ridicuously oddball. But like the poster before me said, it could be a good thing. Cause I know there are a few kooky blu's I'd like to buy...

I'm currently obsessed with this show. I think I record about 4 episodes a day but they're all in SD. I'd love to pick these up but German releases might be going to far for me.
