(DEAD) Tropic Thunder 2-Disc Unrated - $6.99 - Circuit City

http://entertainment.circuitcity.com...DVD&Store=1405

Strange addition to the many crappy titles they have for sale at $3.99 - $6.99. May not last long.

Is this going to be another disc that people order at $6.99 only to have the order cancelled?

I'm in for one, but I wonder if they'll honor it.

Quick related question - Since Best Buy looks at the online prices for matching, does anybody think they would price-match this?

What's funny is that it's actually part of their $3.99 to $5.99 sale. Somehow, $6.99 fits in between $3.99 and $5.99: http://entertainment.circuitcity.com...spx?Store=1405

I ordered, but I'll try to price match in-store and cancel my order before it ships (hopefully). Thanks for the great post, stronghold7000...

I followed a link to their Blu-Ray Blowout sale which ends Monday. Tons of $34.99 titles in there. Nice blowout, CC!

Anyone ever had a problem with CC not honoring the price even if it was a mistake?

I hope so too. They've already charged my card. But with CC that's no indication that its going to be honored.

same here. i then pointed out (i had also printed) CC's "one price promise" where they state online and in-store prices will be the same, but they didn't care.

so yeah, YMMV indeed.

i did then just place the order online, but it cost me an extra $2 shipping. I almost wanna order a couple more at $7 from CC, then return them at Best Buy as "unwanted gifts" after Christmas without a receipt, for credit at their much higher price - just to screw them. what can i say? im a vindictive person.

Worked for me out in Chicago. With a gift card it was only $5.10 out the door!

In their defense, their price match policy is pretty clear that it has to be in an ad and in stock at a local store.

We often get away with more than that, so YMMV.

But instead of being upset with them (and threatening shenanigans), we should be praising them for even having the policy in the first place, especially when they bend the clear rules in our favor occasionally.

You cannot return anything without receipt or some kind of proof of purchase. At least my local BB do not take any returns w/o proof of purchase even after Christmas .

Yeah, I had just a little left on an older gift card. Wish I had had the coupon in the newspaper too. Would have walked out with the DVD for practically nothing.
