Need your gaming opinion on price
We are thinking of getting the kids (and me) and Wii ... is this package deal a decent price?
Wii (normal package, 1 remote, 1 nunchuk, & sports game)
Wii Nunchuk
Wii Play (with remote)
2 games (Madden '09 & choice of a variety of $50 games)
and an accessory kit (with gel sleeves for both sets of controllers)
Package price is $409 (shipping is another $30 which has prevented me from pulling the trigger).

Adding it up, it seems to be about the same as you would pay for the stuff individually, especially if you include shipping.
$249 - Wii
$20 - Nunchuck
$50 - Wii Play
$100 - 2 Games
Not sure what's in the accessory kit. It's not a great deal, but if you've been looking for a Wii it isn't terrible to get it if you want one anyway.

I wouldn't do the package deal myself...Wii's seem to be in stock at most places (specifically Gamestop)
I would hit Gamestop this weekend, grab a Wii and take advantage of their Buy 2 Get 1 free sale on used games and accessories.
Madden 09 - $45
+ 2nd game at $45
+ wii remote at $35 (free)
= $90 (or $81 if you have an Edge card to save 10%)
Wii Play (game only) $20
+ Nunchuck

Honestly?
The 360 is cheaper, has a more complete library, has better functionality (demos, stream music/movies from your computer, is a DVD player), and is just plain more fun.
My experience with Wii owners who also have a 360 is that the Wii is a lot of fun but you get tired of it pretty fast. I'm one of those owners. The first ~2 months with it I spent more time with it than almost any other console. I got it on launch. I've bought 2 games for it since.
If we were talking Wii-at-launch, when the 360 was still more expensive, it would be a tougher argument. But now that the Wii is not the cheapest option, I can only see it as a third-best option.
