I was jealous seeing these great deals since I had already bought the Bond sets (the DOTD last week) and SD vs. RAW 2009 (bought the normal version release day), missing out on two great deals, not to mention a freakin' exclusive BR wrestling DVD in that Collector's Edition of SD vs. RAW.

Right before I went to bed last night I listed the six-pack at $69.99, I'll get $60.68 for it after fees. The six individual BR releases only cost $47.44 in this deal!

While I was at it, I put my normal PS3 release of SD vs. RAW 2009 on the marketplace for $39.99, I'll get $35.64 for it after fees. I bought the collector's edition for the $39.99 price, and now I get the BR in the CE that I thought I had missed out on.

The best part? I put up both listings a little after 2am last night before I went to bed, and when I woke up just now at a little past 9am I had the "SOLD!" emails in my inbox! The Bonds sold a little after 3am, SD vs. RAW 2009 sold a little after 6am!

Total I paid for the six Bond titles and SD vs. RAW CE - $87.39

Total I received for my two Bond sets and the normal SD vs. RAW - $96.32

I'll break even after I ship to the two buyers, or ahead if I add in getting the individual cases for the Bond titles, and the extra BR wrestling title I get with the SD vs. RAW CE.

Man, I wish I could have found 10 movies I wanted. Not going to buy the Bonds because they will inevitably be released in a set...Precisely the opposite for me. Some of the Bonds I wouldn't ever want (e.g. Die Another Day, horrid movie) so I am interested in picking up just a few favorites individually and wouldn't be interested in a complete set. (I'll buy the ones I don't want to get the "Best Value" savings* and just sell them to defray the cost of the ones I want to keep.)

the thing will be: when they are received, will QOS still even be in theatres? the mass of orders has put many 007 titles on 10-12 day shipping.

Thanks for the heads-up about the price drops. Not only was I able to cancel and re-order, but I also swapped out two titles from my original order that I wasn't crazy about. Saved an additional $17 and got two better titles. The only drawback is that all of the titles were in stock when I ordered yesterday, but I have such a huge backlog, I can wait.:)

No. But you cant input the coupon until you say you are paying with BML, and putting in your info for BML. After that, apply the coupon.

Steps to avoid any further confusion:

The only problem if they did I would also lose my order for the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which is now several dollars higher that I added in with the order. I think I'll try for a refund since my order hasn't actually shipped yet.

Sorry to those of you who missed the extra $15 when ordering all 6 of the Bond films. As I mentioned above it was amazon that combined the deal and not those placing the orders, so I don't see any reason why the orders should get cancelled. I am hoping that they will add more titles to the deal before it expires. I didn't really want to double dip on tiltes I already owned, but BDs well below $10 each is hard to pass up. Having only recently transitioned to purple this was my first actual purchase of BDs, although I have rented a few.

The weird thing is that I saw copies of these Bond Blu-Rays at a Best Buy with shrinkwrap around the cardboard sleeve. It is odd that we are seeing non shrinkwrapped copies, shrinkwrapped cases and everything shrinkwrapped. I hope that mine come shrinkwrapped so that the codes can come off easily and not leave any ink/residue.

I had the same problem but VERY CAREFULLY peeled the sticker off (figuring, what can it hurt? If I can't remove the sticker, the code is worthless anyway). The good news is that, although the rest of the printing is unreadable, the code is very clear & easy to read. Tried it with a second sticker with the same positive results.

If you need the other relevant information from the "unreadable" part, I did get an intact sticker from one of the Bond Blus that had the outer sleeve wrapped in cellophane. Here's what it says:

(Also, I might add that GooGone removes the stickiness & the printing ink from the outer sleeve without a trace. I just sprayed the GooGone on a cloth and gently rubbed rather than applying it directly to sleeve. No damage to sleeve at all)

I placed 5 orders & they all have finally shipped.

I am having a dispute over one of the orders. The Bond deal with the extra "Best Value Savings) discount was so good that I decided to place an additional order for six Bond sets. Of course, they were backordered.

Got an email yesterday saying that credit card wasn't authorized. Called the Visa (an AMAZON Visa account, ironically) & learned that Security Dept. had put a hold on some charges (I had placed a series of Columbia House B1G1 orders in rapid succession since the deal was negated if I tried combining the orders). I authorized the charges & went back to the Amazon page & clicked "retry credit card". When the page changed, the promotion had vanished & the new amount was $96.44 rather than the $44 I had attempted to authorize. I figured that the system was reading this as a 'new' order although the order date clearly reads Nov. 28, and the system wasn't recognizing the expired promotion.

To make a very long & frustrating story short, I called Amazon support, explained the situation, cited other orders to prove that the promotion existed, & got assurance from the CSR that the promotion discount would be applied since it had been incorrectly voided. He said he would forward info. to marketing dept. since CSR's can't authorize discounts. So far so good.

The (not so) funny thing is that I couldn't even cancel or change the incorrect order...immediately after clicking on the 'retry credit card' button, the new page (with the new charges...which I most certainly DID NOT authorize) appeared with a banner at the top saying that the order couldn't be changed or cancelled because it was being processed.

Hopefully, I'll get to talk directly to someone with the authority to reinstate the discount and the total which I agreed to pay when I placed the order.

I placed 5 orders & they all have finally shipped.

I am having a dispute over one of the orders. The Bond deal with the extra "Best Value Savings) discount was so good that I decided to place an additional order for six Bond sets. Of course, they were backordered.

Got an email yesterday saying that credit card wasn't authorized. Called the Visa (an AMAZON Visa account, ironically) & learned that Security Dept. had put a hold on some charges (I had placed a series of Columbia House B1G1 orders in rapid succession since the deal was negated if I tried combining the orders). I authorized the charges & went back to the Amazon page & clicked "retry credit card". When the page changed, the promotion had vanished & the new amount was $96.44 rather than the $44 I had attempted to authorize. I figured that the system was reading this as a 'new' order although the order date clearly reads Nov. 28, and the system wasn't recognizing the expired promotion.

To make a very long & frustrating story short, I called Amazon support, explained the situation, cited other orders to prove that the promotion existed, & got assurance from the CSR that the promotion discount would be applied since it had been incorrectly voided. He said he would forward info. to marketing dept. since CSR's can't authorize discounts. So far so good.

Received mine today. I ordered all 6 Bonds. 2 of them had the slipcover and dvd-case sealed in shrink-wrap (as well as the DVD case in shrink wrap) making the use of the movie code very easy. 3 of them had the slipcase (not sealed) over a sealed DVD case with the sticker on the slipcase itself. Here, I had to use goo-gone and it was a pain in my arse.

The last one had no slipcase, no ticket, but was sealed. I have written to Amazon about this one.

They probably make sure your items are even in stock. The ones that are, go to "shipping soon". What this means, I think, is your order is sitting next to thousands of others which have been verified as in stock. Then, it's shipping time. Amazon has their own logistics, so who knows how long your order will be kept open until they determine a certain amount of items should be shipped to a certain part of the country.

1 Die Another Day - shrinkwrapped
1 For Your Eyes Only - no ticket or slipcover at all

So now I'm not sure what to do about For Your Eyes Only. I wouldn't care, but it's going to bug me on my shelf being the only one missing the slipcover.

It's a longshot, but if anyone doesn't want the slipcover from their copy I'll give you some of my tickets. I have no plans to use any of them anyway. Otherwise I'll try Amazon and see if I can get a replacement copy.
As a footnote to this, I did finally contact Amazon about my problem. They shipped out a replacement for me with no problem. I just have to print a label and return the original copy. Now hopefully the new one will have a slipcover.

I got mine all. Got lucky because every one had tickets and all had slipcovers. The copy of Die Another Day had the sticker directly on the slipcover. When I peeled it off, the print came off onto the cover. Hopefully I can clean that up.

What a great deal.
I bought 10 movies for $55 and change. I sold two "Windtalkers" on Ebay for $11 each. I used 6 movie tickets from the Bond films. I think I made money and got 8 movies (sold two). Wow!!!!

Wow, I can't believe people took those four codes without posting. That's pretty jerky. I thought DVDtalkers were a notch above other deal sites, but I guess not.
