Blu-ray and Sony KF-42WE610

I have a 4 year old Sony rear projection monitor with only DVI in. I'm wondering what to expect if I hook a blu-ray player up to it. I'm considering the Sony BDP-S350 and routing the signal via an Onkyo TX-SR605 receiver via HDMI then out via an HDMI to DVI cable.
Will I get good 720p/1080i signals via this connection on this monitor?
All thoughts and opinions and advice most welcome. Thanks in advance.

It should pass 720p just fine although unless you need the video switching I would just go straight from the player to the tv with the video signal.

Your picture will look fine, make sure you set the player to 1080I, and yes, connect it the way you listed, that way you will get the new audio formats.
