Does a Game shark work in a ps3?

I have been playing some ps2 games in my ps3 and a game im playing has codes for a little help, but they can only be used with a game shark. would the game shark work in the ps3 so i can use the codes.
i really hate having to use codes, but sometimes i just get so annoyed with replaying a part or boss where i just want to use a code to beat that part.

Doesn't the Game Shark use the PS2 memory card port to modify the game? If so, then it's a no since there is no PS2 memory card port.

There are no cheat devices that work with the PS3 and if Sony has their way there never will be.
