Shows still not on DVD show up on Netflix's Watch Now Service

Now that the Xbox 360 can stream Netflix titles, I started going through their library and noticed that there are a number of shows available that aren't on DVD yet, including The Dana Carvey Show and Amazing Stories: Season Two.

Also looked like a lot of complete runs of many Universal shows were available there too, like Murder She Wrote, Quincy and Emergency...

Cool! Thanks for the heads up on this. I'd heard that some films like Rolling Thunder, which are not available on dvd were available on Netflix for streaming, but did not know about the shows. I've really been looking forward to seeing Amazing Stories S.2 ever since I picked up S.1, and I've been frustrated that there is still no dvd set announced.

Anyone find any other movies or shows like this?

Last 3 seasons of Leave it to Beaver.

The movie The Deadly and the Beautiful

I have no problem recording stuff off this service when there's no DVD available

If they came out with Mac support, that'd be fantastic.

Fuckin' Netflix.

"Watch now" is also coming to Tivo and supposedly some I'net ready blu-ray players.

Mod note: Although this is probably not the best forum for this thread... considering I'm not sure whether to place it in the Store Forum, Game Forum or HT Forum I'm just going to leave it here

I wonder if they will use the "Watch Now" feature to gauge demand of potential DVD releases?

The LG 300 and Samsung 2500/2550 allow Netflix streaming. At the moment, I think its SD only, but should be HD (for the Films/TV shows available in HD) at some point.

BTW the follow-up seasons of the New Outer Limits are all mostly on there. I think there are some eps from each season still missing.

Float the idea in the Feedback Forum and see if people bite. Considering the number of online methods of getting content these days it might make sense to have such a thing. My main concern would be it's probably going to be mod intensive (at least at first) making sure people only link to legit sources (aka no copy right infringement).

I'm upset when a tv series has missing episodes. Heroes isn't bad because it's just an alternate pilot, but Sliders is missing a lot.
