Warner Home Video has revealed some of the special features that will be included on the upcoming direct-to-video animated Blu-ray release of 'Wonder Woman', which is due to hit store shelves on March 3rd, day-and-date with the DVD release. Video will be presented in 1.78:1 1080p VC-1 accompanied by a Dolby Digital Stereo soundtrack.
Extras for this release include:
*Wonder Woman: A Subversive Dream - She is one of the pillars of DC Comics. We examine why Wonder Woman is important in the grand scheme of the DC Super Heroes and how her raw strength and power helped define a new generation of empowered women, who realized that their gifts of intellect and strength were just as powerful as their male counterparts.
*Wonder Woman The Daughters of Myth – The riveting documentary historically defines the meaning of the Amazons and how this links in with the evolution of the Wonder Woman character from comics to screen.
*Audio Commentary - featuring commentary by Gregory Noveck (Senior Vice President, Creative Affairs, DC Comics), Bruce Timm (Producer), Lauren Montgomery (Director) and Michael Jelenic (Screenplay).
*Bruce Timm's Top Picks - Popular episodes from the Warner Bros. archive of Justice League/Justice League Unlimited animation featuring Wonder Woman; all personally selected by Bruce Timm, producer of this Wonder Woman feature film. All formats include “To Another Shore” and “Hawk and Dove.” Exclusive additions for the Blu-Ray and 2-Disk formats: “Paradise Lost, Parts 1 & 2.”
*Digital Copy Download – Warner Bros. is including a Digital Copy of Wonder Woman on the DVD which will provide fans a legitimate means to enjoy their favorite action hero anywhere they want on their portable video device. Formats supported include: iTunes, Windows Media Player. Restrictions apply. Consult product packaging for details.
*Sneak Peak - The next DCU Animated Original Movie.
*Wonder Woman: The Amazon Princess – This featurette includes both a thumbnail history of the character of Wonder Woman featuring interviews with DC Comics creators and artists (Paul Levitz, Dan DiDio), and behind the scenes footage of the upcoming made-for-DVD release punctuated with interviews from the production staff and voice talent behind the film (Keri Russell, Alfred Molina, etc.)

Re: DC Animated Wonder Woman comes to Blu-ray
Anyone else pick this up today? I haven't watched the movie yet, but I did put the disc into the PS3 to check it out briefly, and I have to say this: Who fell asleep at the menu wheel there at Warner? There is no damn scene selection/chapter option!! The movie does have chapters (10 of them I believe I counted), but the pop up menu only has languages and special features for choices!
It was also kind of odd that all four of the bonus Justice League episodes were in 4:3, when the second two were from the "Unlimited" run and were previously released on DVD in 16:9....

What? That totally sucks. Is the A/V quality any good? Or you didn't watch any of it yet?

It was 29.99 when i saw it while buying toilet paper at Wal-mart. 19.99 is my impusle blu-ray animated comic book hero buy price. Hulk VS was that price on Blu, no reason why this couldn't be as well.

Yeah, neither the DVD nor the Blu-ray have chapter selections. Really odd.

It was $29.99 everywhere today (except Target which didn't order any). Sad that this title is being priced so badly.

Yeah I have no idea why every retailer is pricing this at MSRP. This should have been priced at 19.99 or less but everywhere I go I'm seeing it for 29.99. Luckily it was in my Amazon Goldbox for 20.85 so I jumped on that since that's the best price I've seen so far.

I watched it yesterday. The movie is great, well animated, smart story. Picture and audio quality are great too. There is a good amount of extras too. I bought it for 24.99 at fry's.

I was about to purchase it on Amazon but one of the reviews there mentions that Bruce Timm suggested that they might release an unrated version of this film at a later date. Apparently the original cut was rated R by the MPAA. I may just wait because that may mean I can get it on sale farther down the road.

I think the word is "spurt" wether in past or present tense but I'm not sure.
In any case, I guess I'll hold off and invite over a friend who just purchased the BD so I can watch it.

Yeah, that sounds about right... I would be interested in seeing an unrated cut someday.
