1. Is that DVD exclusive to FNAC?
2. Also you got random PM :)
1. Other shops will carry it shortly.
2. I looked it up and it is logged in as "Region-Free" (Universal-France). Double check around the release date.

I HIGHLY recommend this film if you've never seen it. The uk 2-disc is one of the best blind buys I've ever made

Hmm...that would stink.
Either way, I'm going to order from Amazon FR (if available) or make my first order at FNAC's website.
I've bought from their actual stores in Paris, but have never ordered from them online.

Nope. I actually get a full breakdown of upcoming French releases from a third party and they will carry the title. I would look later on to see if they will be selling through Amazon's marketplace.

According to an interview in September, Manuel Chiche the Wild Side boss said :
La vraie nouveauté est qu'à partir de la fin du mois d'Août, la collection ne sera plus disponible que dans les FNAC et sur FNAC.COM.
...
la FNAC a souhaité devenir co-éditeur de cette collection afin de lui donner enfin toutes ses chances.
Since the end of August, the collection will only be available at Fnac shops and Fnac website (meaning new releases will be exclusive
and only Fnac won't run out of stock for the older one, as other retailer will).
And Fnac is now involved as an editor/distributor with Wild Side for this collection.
Wild Side didn't announce the deal to other retailers, some were very angry because they had to cancel pre-orders and they have been informed by customers who read the interview on the net.

Just curious as to why anyone non-French speaking would go for this edition over the Anchor Bay UK edition?

I was going to go for this edition since I thought the UK/R2 was OOP
Amazon UK doesn't have it in stock anymore and various copies on UK Marketplace are going for $40-50 (before shipping)

Ah, I hadn't checked if it was OOP. That makes sense. Carry on.

Was wondering this too.
The actual FNAC store I went to wasn't this hard to navigate :)
Attempting to translate the web pages isn't working too well.
