May very well be my favorite Jim Carrey movie. It's an entertaining dark comedy that inexplicably seems to be hated by most people. Anyone else enjoy this movie as much as I do?

My experience is that the best place to shop for Sony flippers that have been discontinued is Half Price Books. I know the one in my area (Tukwila) had two copies of The Cable Guy flipper last time I checked, and I've bought one there previously.

It went right over the rather pin shaped heads of most of America.

I don't know how many times I've watched that movie.

Well, I hope they see fit to release it on Blu-ray Disc at some point. The newer format might give them enough of a reason, with a new DVD alongside it of course.

Yea. I was 12-or-so when I first saw it. Didn't really like it too much. But I love it now.

I remember my parents thinking Jim Carrey was for people my age. And they kind of ignored his movies. Maybe since the movie didn't work with kids my age, it didn't become popular.

This is a movie i have always enjoyed and it still comes up in conversation with my mates who all hate the movie. I was surprised that the movie didn't do better. It was hilarious. Ben Stiller playing the cameo of the psycho twins always cracks me up...."They were Asian..."

For me the Porno Password scene is possibly the best. Really great stuff.

Also the way that Carrey says the word Juice cracks me up. It sounds like Jewis. And of course scramby eggs.

Gonna have to watch this movie again tonight.

Jim is at his best when he stars in movies like this. Cable Guy is cool, so is Dumb and Dumber. His latest movie seems to be along these lines and looks intresting.
When he tries to branch out and do other kinds of roles is when I lost intrest in him.

TCG has one of my favorite scenes in any comedy. It's at Medieval Times between Carry, Broderick and Garaffolo.

MB: "Can I have a fork?"
JG: "There were no forks IN medieval times thus there are no forks AT Medieval Times."
MB: "They didn't have forks but they had Coke?"
JG: "Dude, I just work here"

Then JC does this great face.

MB does one of the best straight men he's ever played in this.

It's a good movie, but I always thought Election was MB's best black comedy.

My wife and I love this movie, and usually leave it on if we come across it flipping channels (it seems to making the rounds quite a bit on cable lately).

Back in '96, not only was this movie not received well, but people were bitching about Carrey making $20M for it. I didn't see it in the theaters initially, but it's definitely my favorite Jim Carrey movie.

My wife and I were watching the news one night on my mom's house, and the broadcast opened with..."An Asian gang is believed responsible for..." She and I burst out laughing simultaneously, and my mom thought were were both nuts.
