First full month of the 360 price drop. Looks like it definitely helped, even though it still pales in comparison to the Wii. It could be a long winter for Sony without a PS3 price drop.

No sign of Rock Band 2 in the top 10? That's odd.

Congrats Nintendo

It's never a surprise to see them at the top, but damn those are huge numbers:

1.3 million units of hardware and 1 million units of software(counting WiiPlay).

I'm surprised by Fable numbers. 790K? really?
Maybe because is the only big one that I'm not playing. I already played Dead Space, Fallout 3, Little Big Planet and have Saints Row 2 waiting.
That number is really huge for Fable 2. Considering that second, real game, sold 375K.

Also kinda sad that none of the multiplatform games sold well in the PS3. Wasn't FIFA released in October? I'm surprised is not in the Top 10.

Man, I really thought the Fable II/Fallout 3 battle was going to be won by Fallout 3.

Holy crap Fable 2? I had no idea the game was that popular. I guess another sequel is inevitable now.

I'm surprised both Fable 2 and Fallout 3 sold that much.

Fallout 3 particularly, as I bet it also sold a ton on PC and via Steam too and the first 2 games seem more like cult classics then big hits.

One thing to note are release dates. Fable 2 had an extra week in October than Fallout 3 (10/28).and Little Big Planet, with the delay wasn't even released until Novermber, wasn't it? Is that number just pre-orders?

These are the U.S. numbers and not the European or Worldwide numbers, right? I would be surprised if that game sold worth a crap here.

LBP came out the same day as Fallout 3

Fable 2 was out 10 days, F3 and LBP 3 days

Guitar Hero: World Tour sold the most on Wii. Here are the numbers:

“Guitar Hero: World Tour,” across all platforms, sold 534,000 copies combined, according to NPD. The Wii version, however, sold best, accruing 183,000 copies sold.

Yeah, in Europe it has Madden numbers. But I remember that in one of previous years it made the Top 10.

Yeah there definitely seems to be something to that "video games are recession-proof" theory.

Yep. People are choosing to stay home and drive less so they need something to do to pass the time.
