I think it is. Sure it's long, but the way it was made was pretty good and the actors all did a great job. I payed 22.99 when it first came out and I still think that was worth it. So six bucks is a great deal

I like to find that Wal-Mart Bonus Disk so that I can have a 3-disc-set!

you could just check out the DVDtalk review of it. It's a great DVD btw, a lot of info on the film and the aviator himself.

Absolutely. This is a great film and a great release. I cringe every time I see it for 5 bucks now seeing at how I bought it on release day for 18.99.

Yeah, saw this at various stores for $6, figured there might be something wrong with it or something. Must just not be a very popular film anymore, though I really enjoyed it in theatres, but I haven't seen it since.

I have it on HD-DVD and it's one of the nicest HD titles. The DVD has amazing picture quality too. Great movie, very underrated.

Is this a poor attempt to brag about getting it for $6?

Cause I got it for $3....

Definitely. Saw it in the theater and then bought the 2D WS when it got cheap. Great evocation of old-time Hollywood by Scorsese. In his body of work I would place it below Taxi Driver & Goodfellas, but on par with Casino and better than The Departed. And Cate Blanchett actually makes Katherine Hepburn seem sexy, which has to qualify as some sort of cinematic miracle.

I picked it up for FREE at Blockbuster about 3 years ago.

It was part of my Rewards membership at that time that gave me a coupon for a FREE pre-viewed movie (short pre-selected list). They had so many, the copy I bought looks like it was never rented out.

I just happened upon the bonus disc in an FYE of all places, sealed. I nabbed it and then nabbed the 2-disc for about $6. Woot!
