That is sort of an odd situation to preorder dlc but you know what for 3 months free live I would be willing to wait an extra dayEspecially since you could probably sell it on ebay or something and recoup most of your expenses for the DLC.

Yeah, I just checked eBay and the 3-Month Live cards are going for $15-20. I don't know why - that seems like a lot to pay for 3 months of Live.

I just noticed a current auction today that had 3 months cards (multiple available) for $10 shipped and Buy It Now. No option to have the code e-mailed but the seller does state that the cards have 2007 expiration dates and other buyers have had no problem redeeming them as valid.

The controls work for a console but I miss all the hotkeys that you'd have if you were playing on a pc. Especially the grouping of troops by number. The pick all troops or pick all troops on screen option is probably as good as they can make it.
Got it.

My 360 may have bit the dust today. Every time I turn it on, it either freezes at the main screen or freezes shortly into whatever game I'm playing. No red rings though. This is fucking frustrating.

Very cool -- I got a non-descript letter in the mail today that I almost didn't open. But I'm glad I did. Turns out I won a code for 1600 MS Points in one of those "download and win" sweepstakes! GTA4 DLC, here I come!

well, its been 3 years but one of my xbox's finally died. I had switched my original console for an HDMI one about a year ago. Tonight, during Gears 2 I got the -now very common- crazy green screen and bad graphics. I turned it off, then back on and I get E 74 and 1 red light. Apparently now all the 360's graphics chips are melting, instead of the 3 red ring problem :(

I was selling a 13-month one and I noticed the 1-months going for $7 and the 3-months going for $15 while the 13-month ones were going for about $40.
The only logic I could apply to it was kids with allowance needing it now and having limited funds rather than waiting a few more weeks to really maximize value.

Does anyone know if the NXE update broke PC media sharing, or do I have another problem? My old computer crashed and I just put together another one, running XP, and I can't play anything now, even mp3s. The Xbox just stalls out for a minute and then gives an "unplayable media" error, saying its connection to my PC was lost. All I could find online was a bunch of mentions of other people having this problem, but no solutions. Sharing is definitely turned on at the PC, none of the files have any sort of DRM and the PC and 360 are plugged into the same router. IP addresses are correct.

Hmmm. Mine kind of acted like it was new the other day - I think after the last system update. I had to sign into my gamertag even though I'd previously set it to do so automatically and hadn't manually signed in for a year or so.
Did you use the hard drive transfer kit?
I hate to call Microsoft, as I anticipate three minutes of troubleshooting, followed by being told to reinstall Windows or buy Vista.

Occasionally, my 360 will lose connectivity with my media-sharing PC -- even though my PS3 and other devices can see it! Typically, the solution is to reboot (the PC, not the 360).

Wow it appears none of us had anything to do this weekend. 66 members of 69 played on saturday, and 63 on sunday that is a lot.

it's the economy man. Nothing better to do than stay home playing video games. I think this weekend will be quite the opposite though being Valentines day and all.

For people needing a 360...
Conn's electronics is having a sale through Saturday where you can get 360 arcade unit for $149.99 and it comes with a free Guitar Hero World Tour bundle (guitar bundle, NOT full band bundle). Pretty damn good deal...$50 off reg price and a free $75 GH bundle.
From CAG.
I have personally verified this today at my local store. The arcade units were Jaspers, which makes it even better.

As you said. I went to get the game out of the tray, and I got the rings. I bought an Arcade today.

I'm going to be at my mom's wedding this Saturday. I'm actually going to be out of town from Thursday until Monday, so I'll miss my Xbox... I mean my wife and daughters.
Ohh and when I come back I'll be home alone for 5 days!
I can only imagine all the wild things I'm going to do.... Rock Band is going to be really loud! ;)
