Black or Silver?

Just wondering what color equipment you chose and why?

Since nearly all of my equipment is behind closed doors or in my darkened theater, I really don't have any preference as to equipment color.

Black - Dont really know why. I think only certain components come in Silver and almost everything comes in black so black is the easy choice.

My components are in a media closet anyway so it doesnt matter anymore.

I should have had a media closet built into the basement when they did the drywall. All my stuff has to be on my 3-shelf TV stand now.

See now, this would be a good poll topic.

Oh and, black. Cause silver is ugly and I want less obvious, not more. I'm opposite for a car.

I have Black everything right now. It doesn't really matter to me though as I have had silver stuff before. Its just the color that was cheapest at the time when I bought stuff.

I prefer buying black things, as opposed to silver. My TV is piano black and glossy, whereas my stand is black and so is my surround sound set-up. I find that the grey TVs tend to look cheap and indicate a lower end model, but I could be wrong about that. I just prefer the black in general, I guess.

In my younger days, all the high-end audiophile equipment I lusted after was black, and all the consumer-level stuff I could afford was silver. Based on that, I prefer black today.

I have a mix of both in my dedicated media room. My equipment is primarily black, but some pieces are silver (HD DVR and DVD R). Even my furniture is black or silver/gray. But when the lights go down in there, everything disappears!

I prefer black, but it's not really a deciding factor as much as quality. I have both silver and black right now, and soon I'll be adding Sony blue with the 550, so so much for uniformity.

I prefer black. But I remember seeing some high end laser disc players with a gold finish that were pretty snazzy looking.
