Mine is a about half full, on average how much money will I have when it's full? It's one of those standard large water cooler bottles.

Well, I would think it would all depend on the denomination of the coins... ;)

A friend of mine put coins in a 40 liter glass carboy. That sucker was heavy. When he cashed it in, he had several hundred dollars.

Oversized novelty pepsi bottle filled to the top

Took it to Coinstar, requested an amazon gift certificate - close to $1,000

A friend of mine filled a five-gallon glass water cooler jug. When he cashed it in it had a little more than $6,000 in it.

If we guess right, do we get the bottle with the coins?

This sounds closest to me. I fill a tall cigar box up (Square Cubish Shaped, maybe 10"x10") and it's around $275 when it's filled

It really adds up. I've done this a few times over the years, and always ended up with much more money in the end than I expected. Right now, I'm working on a plastic gallon jug.

I've done it a few times where I haven't used pennies (they went into a different container). Bigtime difference if you do that, obviously.

I used to do this, but now I pay for almost everything with credit cards to get the cash-backs.

Since I pay off my balances every month, I don't get charged interest, and come out nicely ahead.

Though I do sort of miss sticking my pocket change into a beer stein.

In the late 1980's one of my friends uncles had one filled to the rim with silver coins. The real deal 90% silver pre 1964 coins.

I can't imagine how much that would be worth today. For all I know he still has it.

I filled one of those Costco jars of pretzel sticks, and I had around $700 when I cashed it in.

I filled a big plastic Coke Bottle piggy bank with quarters and used it as the down payment on my first car.

The one time I tried this, I split the bottle on the seam and had coinage all over the floor. When I stopped, it was about $400. No pennies.

I've filled a water bottle with a lot of things. Coins... is not one of them.

Right now I have an old 49ers (the team, not the prospector) glass cup that I fill with change. When I cash that in, it is generally around $30 or so. Seeing as I also pay for most things with the debit card, I rarely get change anymore, so it does take a while.

I filled one of these about half way and had something like two grand.

I also had a desk drawer filled with just singles. I started that one in 1999 and finished in 2003, I had something like $2300 in singles. That money stayed with me for most of my 21st birthday...and that one strip club in North Jersey loves me.

Saving money and blowing on strippers rules!

If by "water bottle" you mean "anus" then yes. $20 in quarters.

I have an Arrowhead bottle barely filled, and I counted $278 in it the other day.

That, my friend, was not a strip-club.

No coins in a water bottle, but I do have a sock full of nickles.
